2024 Summer CSA

Our CSA - Because we are momentarily “between farms” we are partnering with Farmers To You and their amazing roster of growers to bring the bounty to our neighborhood this year. Farmers to You is a beautiful organization, guided by the mission to create a healthy regional food system that heals the planet and reconnects families with farmers.

SEASON - Members will enjoy access to 20 weeks of local and consciously sourced food products delivered to the Hillside at the peak of freshness and flavor from mid-June through late-October

CHOOSE ONLY WHAT YOU LIKE - The Farmers to You website is loaded with over 600 products giving members the chance to order exactly what they want each week. Check it out! Summer options include organic heirloom tomatoes, snap peas and fresh field greens just like a traditional CSA. But you can ALSO choose from the best cheeses, grass-fed beef, fresh-baked crusty breads, syrups and hot sauces Vermont has to offer.

Community focused - One of the defining characteristics of our CSA is that our members live within a ~1 mile radius of each other. Our weekly pickups are designed to create a space for neighbors to meet and get to know each other. Over the course of the season we host wood-fired pizza nights, outdoor movie screenings, concerts and potlucks.

Distributions - Distributions are at our house - 75 Capen St. in Medford on Thursdays from 4:30 - 6:30 PM. Any and all dogs, kids, recipes, instruments welcome. We hope you’ll hang for a while.

COST - All that is required is a minimum spend of $40 a week. No upfront payment is required. If you're on vacation you can skip a week without penalty and you can cancel your membership at anytime.

VOLUNTEERING - We will send out periodic volunteer opportunities by email.  Though it is not mandatory, we hope people will consider giving 2-4 hours of their time over the course of the season to help - with a distribution, make pizzas on pizza night… Many hands make your farmers very happy.  Volunteering is a great way to get to know each other.

Sound good?  We'd love to have you along for the season. As always, call, email or shout across the fence if you have any questions

“Agriculture is the mother of all our culture and the foundation of our well-being. Modern farming driven by purely economic considerations, has driven the culture out and replaced it with business: agriculture has become agribusiness. Our ideals for agriculture come to expression in the biodynamic method of farming which seeks to create a self-sustaining and improving ecological system in which everything has its place in the cycle of the seasons. The community involvement in the rhythms of the seasons and the celebrations connected with them will also enable us to find our proper spiritual connection to nature again.”
